Joint Policing Committee Meeting – November 2023

A meeting of the Galway City Joint Policing Committee will be held on Monday 27th November 2023 at 7pm in the Ballinfoile/Castlegar Neighbourhood Centre, Headford Road,
Ballinfoile, Galway.

All members of the public are invited to attend this public meeting. If you wish to attend in person, you must confirm your attendance by contacting Elaine Cannon Noone on (091) 536380 or email corporateservices@galwaycity.ie on or before Tuesday 21st November 2023.

The Joint Policing Committee was established under the Garda Síochána Act 2005 and includes members of An Garda Siochána, Elected Members of Galway City Council, Oireachtas Members representing Galway City, representatives from the community and voluntary sector and officials of Galway City Council.

The function of the Committee is to serve as a forum for consultation, discussion and recommendations on matters affecting the policing of the Galway City area.

Members of the public are welcome to attend this meeting, to have their views heard and to put questions to the committee.

All questions concerning the general policing of Galway City should be submitted in writing no later than Tuesday 21st November 2023 and must include the name and address of the person submitting the questions, which will not be published.

Please note that the Joint Policing Committee may not consider matters relating to a specific criminal investigation or prosecution or matters relating to the security of the State.
