Applications for funding under the Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) for 2021 are now invited from interested community groups and organisations in Galway City from May 26th until June 18th 2021

Galway City Council has been approved funding of €132,455 under the Community Enhancement Programme 2021, which will be administered by Galway City Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) as per previous years.

The Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) 2021 aims to provide funding to enhance facilities in disadvantaged areas/communities. This iteration of the programme will provide grants towards projects or equipment enhancing facilities (similar to previous years) and one-off grants towards costs associated with reopening of a facility or the sustainability of a facility.

Under the programme, the LCDC will ring-fence some funding to provide small grants of €1,000 or less, which will allow a larger volume of those with limited resources to receive some funding. The programme can also fund or partially fund larger scale projects to address disadvantage.

Applications can be completed online and guidelines are available to view at www.galwaycity.ie/cep2021

The closing date for online applications under the Community Enhancement Programme 2021 is Friday, 18th June 2021 at 5.00pm.

Applications should relate to one or more key priority areas identified in the Galway City Local Economic & Community Plan 2015 – 2021 which can be viewed online at https://www.galwaycity.ie/local-economic-and-community-plan/lecp.

For any queries in relation to the above please email Elaine Clifford or Angela Breslin at candc@galwaycity.ie.
