Misleór, Galway’s inaugural festival celebrating the rich heritage of nomadic cultures, will be held this year from the 10th to the 12th of October.
In a unique collaboration between the Galway Traveller Movement, the local Traveller community, artists and community activists, this 3-day event will showcase music, art, film, theatre and poetry from a variety of nomadic cultures.
Through the lens of creativity and cultural action for change, the festival will evoke important social dialogue about ethnic nomads and the barriers, prejudice and discrimination that they often face.
This festival is funded by Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture – Small Town Big Ideas.
