As part of COVID-19 Galway City Community Response Forum GCCN is working with Galway City Council and others to develop a map of the activities/services of community and voluntary organisations and groups that are still operating during the COVID-19 alert. See an example of the map below.

This will represent organisations that are providing services, supports and information for those who need them most during this time, including maintaining usual services, collecting groceries, prescriptions, medication, Meals-on-Wheels and the offer of a helping hand or a friendly voice at the end of the phone.

As part of this initiative, a dedicated community support helpline will be launched by Galway City Council to assist at-risk members of the public in accessing the non-emergency and non-medical supports and advice during the current public health emergency.

If your organisation is still operating during the COVID-19 alert and you want to be part of this initiative, please fill out the survey here.

We can also continue to add to this in due course, as and if needed, so if there are changes just contact info@galwaycitycommunitynetwork.ie.

Also, please share this initiative with your network.

It is important that we put together all services operating in Galway City during the COVID-19 alert to centralise all community supports in this period and enable all the voluntary and statutory agencies to collaborate in support of our communities and particularly our most vulnerable members.

Many thanks from the GCCN Team
