The final draft of the LECP is now available. A GCCN workshop to discuss the LECP will take place on Monday November 30th at 3pm in the Westside Community Resource Centre. The objective is to review the LECP with a view to developing proposals to populate the implementation plan. To register please email info@galwaycitycommunitynetwork.ie.

The Local Economic & Community Plan sets out the objectives and actions that will guide the economic and community development of Galway City for the next six years. Galway City Council have requested a workshop with Galway City Community Network as part of their consultation process. The idea is to populate the four action areas with actions. The four areas are:

1. Develop and promote Galway as a world-class, creative City Region
2. Develop and Promote Galway as an Innovative City.
3. Ensure Galway city is an equal and inclusive City.
4. Encourage a sustainable, resilient urban environment for Galway city and its hinterlands
