ALONE, the organisation that supports older people, has launched a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in Ireland.
This support line is to complement the clinical advice and information being provided by the HSE through its website and helpline.
Professional staff will be available to answer queries regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line will be open Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm, by calling 0818 222 024, and hours may be extended to meet the demand.
SeniorLine has put in place a number of protocols to support the many older callers from all over Ireland. Any caller, concerned about Covid 19, will receive the most up to date guidance as recommended by Government sources. Good health practice is reinforced at all times. This information is updated daily as the situation changes and is available to each of the volunteers at the phones.
SeniorLine is a FREEPHONE service and older callers can call free between 10am and 10pm every day of the year on 1800804591
